On Eagle’s Wings

Our time has come to be weary in a world that keeps us on the hamster wheel with all of its empty promises. And personally as I look at these eagles talons I do not feel safe and secure. Yet I wait on the Lords strength and promises.

Have you ever noticed how all the evil and corrupt things of this world offer you all the best things first, to entice you into the trap, and then once you are caught in the snare, none of it looks so good through the obligation, addition, exhaustion, and heartaches.

God saves the best for last, a good example is the story of the wedding at Cana where Christ turned the water to wine, when the wine was taken to the host, many said most put out the good wine first, and after the crowd became drunk used the cheap wine, however Christ made the best wine for last.

I think there is a lot to be said for waiting on what God wants for our life and not falling so easily in our I want it now world. I wonder why I am fat, but I don’t wonder why I ate the cookie, right?

We just need to think it all the way through, what is the consequence of my choices, weather it be eating cookies, shopping, drinking, whatever your vice. Craving the Lord first is potentially the answer to resolving the vices of all people.

That is not to say perfection will be accomplished in the process, however progress toward worldly freedom is the potential earthly freedom we can and ultimately will find if we seek it.

I often wait on the Lord, and he tells me to get my but busy, which means I ask and I work while I wait on his answers and grace in each day, however while I am waiting I know he is always here. I will wait on the Lord, and know that whatever inspiration that falls on my heart that aligns with his word is correct action and thinking to take hold of for this day.

Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted: but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength: they shall mount up with wings like eagles: they shall run and not be weary: they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:30-31
