For the Asking

God provides me with answers, mostly through people, places, and things. And I see him at work when I watch, wait and listen. Learning how and what to pray for can be challenging for a seasoned prayer warrior, and other times the words flow as though David’s pen is in my hand.  God knows every intimate and secret place in each of us, we cannot hide anything, to think we can is only to decieve myself. No one prays for harm to themselves, there business at hand or their families, If they do something else is going on and God will be working on them another way.

Prayer: What I do when I don’t know what to do.

Open up before God, Keep nothing back: he’ll do whatever needs to be done. He’ll validate your life in the clear light of day and stamp you with the approval at high noon. Quite down before God, be prayerful before him. Don’t bother with those who climb the ladder, who elbow their way to the top. Psalm 37: 5-7 The Message

Lord,  Please Show me your ways and reveal to me your secrets.

Let me see you in my day today, so I can give thanks and praise for your mercy, I am so human I need phyical signs that you are near.

You speak to me through the people you  put into my life, let me hear your direction. Let me be of help to those you put before me.

Let my intentions and integrity always be in alignment with your word and your ways.

Let my heart have empathy for those I may not understand, let me hear with your ears and see with your eyes.

You caress me with those who love me let me feel your hand in their touch.

Your hand keeps me safe.

Let me know my enemy by their obvious attempt to deception, for I am Nieve. I need you to give me clues, show me who to trust in this deceptive world.

Calm my heart from anything that removes you as my focus. Decide the gifts you give me, what I need under your grace to serve you well.

I am just a woman/man who knows that you have the power to give and take. I am secure that you are ever present with me, I am not alone even if I feel lonely.

Look over my children and let them learn from you and feel your presence in every situation. Suddenly remind them that you are always watching, we know as human beings you are all sovereign, everywhere and always in control. Let them always remember that their parents love and trust the Lord and you are their for them also.

In Jesus Name,
