Champions Know Which Race to Run

The more the world messes with my life the more I know how important it is to keep my eyes on the Lord. Jesus says rest in me and stay in my presence, practice my presence, I will never leave you I am always here. Yet we wonder of and get in the worlds race where life separates us from everything of value to us. The more we try to do what the world offers, the farther we get away from God’s intentions for our lives.

Everything from sports, diets, relationships, money, gets in the way, and the list goes on and on. I must scoff at those who think they can defeat the Lord, Remember: They defeat me also.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our lord.— Romans 8:38-30 NKJ

No matter how many mistakes I make in this human life I am living, God will never be separated from me, I do not want to make mistakes, sin, or disappoint God in anyway, however from time to time I will and I will always be loved by God, this is why when I trip up, I dust off and move on, life is a race, not to be on the sidelines in fear, but in the thick of it, Christ is with me always.

Let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God Has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes of Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne._Hebrews 12:1-2 NLT

No matter what I encounter over my lifetime God will be there.

The Lord’s unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in him.— Psalm 32:10
